EVO 2010 lineup officially announced

 The Evolution Championship Series, the end-all be-all of fighting game tournaments has announced its game line-up for this years EVO2010 festivities.  The event, which will be held in Las Vegas, will happen in mid-July and bring fighters from around the world to one location.  The tournament will accept any and all challengers who want to participate.  The lineup of games for this year's tournament(s) are the following:

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
Super Street Fighter II HD Remix
Super Street Fighter IV
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Tekken 6

The final game of the tournament will be determined by the votes of players on one of the following games: Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Marvel vs Capcom 2, King of Fighters XII, Capcom vs SNK 2, Soul Calibur IV, or Melty Blood.  You do not have to be in attendance at the event to cast your vote on the final game as ballots and be cast on the Shoryuken.com website.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – January, 28 2010 – The Evolution Championship Series is back in a big way.  Fighting game gladiators and fans from around the world will gather at the historic Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 9-11 for the world’s largest open fighting game tournament.  For over a decade, the EVO Championship Series has hosted the ultimate showdown between the best and brightest fighting gamers from around the world to determine the champions of the year’s hottest fighting games.
 
EVO’s 2010 featured game lineup is bigger than ever!  This year, EVO will host a competition featuring the highly anticipated Super Street Fighter IV along with Tekken 6, Tatsunoko VS. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, and a final game to be decided by the players’ own vote.  As a part of its 10-year fighting tradition, EVO is an open competition that accepts all challengers.  If you have the skills, all are welcome to accept the challenge and take the title.
