EA announced today that The Godfather has gone gold and will be hitting shelves next week for the PS2 and Xbox (the 360 and PSP versions will be released later this year).  The game has you as a new member of the infamous Corleone family as you will have to create your own mobster and work your way to the top of the family.  More information and screenshots are available at the game's official website.  For those of you too young to remember the movie think of it as the Sopranos without Dr. Melfi and a lot more violence.
