Famous celebrities in the art, music, and sports scenes have decked out 30 Guitar Hero controllers with custom paint jobs.  They're all up for auction, and the proceeds go to the MusiCares charity foundation.  If you're a Guitar Hero connoisseur with some significant bidding funds, you could help a charity and score one leet peice of swag at the same time.

LOS ANGELES, CA – April 3, 2007 - Celebrities from the music, film, art and sport worlds have used their creative talents to design and personalize 30 Guitar Hero II video game controllers for Rock, Paint, Bid, an online charity auction by Activision, Inc. and Red Bull Energy Drink.  Beginning now through April 13, the controllers will be available for auction online at www.ebay.com/guitarhero.2 with all proceeds benefiting MusiCares® Foundation.  The pieces were on display this March 9-18 at HiLo in Austin, Texas, where legendary guitarist Slash, performed alongside band Blackberry Smoke to celebrate the initiative.
