I was watching Conan last night as I always do, and Serena Williams was the first guest. Fresh off her demolishing of the ever so lovely Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open, Serena is *hot* again (hot as in popular, not the other way). Conan challenged Serena to a game of tennis before a commercial break. I expected it to be ping pong, or some desk tennis game, and was pleasantly surprised to see a big screen shot of Wii Tennis behind Conan and Serena as they played each other, with customized mimic style Miis in the game.
The end result was Conan taking a single game from Serena in a close match.
In a personal note, while it probably smarts losing to the very unathletic Conan, it's good to see Serena finally playing tennis against other men.
