Overhaul Games has announced that composer
Sam Hulick will be creating original musical scores for the upcoming
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Hulick describes the reasoning behind his excitement for the project, "The music of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II was a huge inspiration for me as a composer who was just venturing forth into the world of writing music for games. So to be able to travel back in time, so to speak, and score original material for the Baldur's Gate saga is a dream come true for me."
The music composed by Hulick will be incorporated with new gameplay content, in addition to the games' original soundtracks. Previous musical scores by Hulick include
Mass Effect,
Mass Effect 2, and
Mass Effect 3.
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will be available this summer for Windows PC, Mac, and iOS devices.
