Combat Arms brings people together on May 27th

More On: Combat Arms
This will be the day that many a 1337 and noob can stop pwning each other and focus all their hate and anger at one object: Their computers! Nexon America has released details on the new cooperative game mode for Combat Arms called Fireteam and this nifty little video. 8 players will team up to take down computer controlled (what us laymen call bots, AI, code driven androids, etc.) opponents known as Sand Hog. Now the Sand Hog are supposedly terrorists but I wonder what sort of agenda their terror is supposed to be promoting or conversely what ideal they are trying to tear down with their terrorful acts. 4-8 players appreciate each other as they work together to take these guys down and save their lost puppy or compete for the highest score. With multiple stages, enemy dropped ammo and health, extra lives and check points Fireteam sounds like a mini FPS campaign. Bite sized is usually more fun with a group but will there be enough variables to match the fun of Left 4 Dead? Well Combat Arms is free to play so I can you can GO SEE FOR YOURSELF!

Fireteam Mode detonates in Combat Arms on Wednesday

Nexon America unveiled details on the new cooperative game mode, Fireteam, set to launch on Wednesday, May 27 for its popular multiplayer online first-person shooter, Combat Arms.  The new, eight-player cooperative mode teams players up with one another to defeat the Sand Hog, an enemy terrorist army.

Fireteam offers four-, six- or eight-player game options to pit players against hordes of computer-controlled enemies while experiencing an intense, multi-staged military mission. With three different difficulty settings (Normal, Hard and Extreme), players can earn extra life, or respawns, by reaching defined checkpoints. Fallen enemies drop ammo boxes and medical kits so players can replenish ammo and health in the field. Fireteam mode features a specially-designed map, tuned specifically for Fireteam Mode. And since each game is individually scored based on performance, players can try to earn the highest score.

The Sand Hog is a terrorist military organization suspected of illegally supplying weapons to nearby countries. An infiltration team sent in earlier had signaled it had obtained some vital Intel but failed to make it to the extraction point and are now believed to be captured or killed. The mission, Operation Desert Thunder, asks players to infiltrate the area and gather the necessary Intel, and if possible, find and rescue the infiltration team.
