I’ve been out of the racing game scene for quite some time, but everything I see concerning Split/Second
makes me ever more excited to try it beyond what was available in the incredibly thin demo on the 360.
Today’s Split/Second sighting involves a new video vignette released by Disney Interactive Studios. My one worry with Split/Second was that the seemingly good idea on paper will be roughly executed on disc by becoming tiresome through overplay, but new information on more gameplay modes are certainly stifling that qualm.
Today’s gameplay mode being showcased involves an air attack by a helicopter launching missiles at you in waves. Check out the video below to see if this mode appeals to you.
Split/Second is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and will be available in North America on May 18th, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Winner of the prestigious Game Critics Award as Best Racing Game of E3, Split/Second has a SRP of $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $49.99 for Windows PC.
