More On: Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds
The release date for Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3 approaching fast. Before you know it, February 15, 2011 will be here and the game will finally be in our hands (I’m excited, can’t you tell?). Even with the game being only a few short months away, there is a still a lot of information that Capcom just isn’t telling us about the title... but more and more seems to come out every week through the Capcom Unity Blog.

The latest update from the community team over at Capcom outlines a few of the gameplay modes and features that will be included in the game for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While the game will include the expected single player and multiplayer versus modes (including online multiplayer), MvC3 will also include an all new mission mode to keep players entertained during their gameplay. The mission mode will consist of at least 10 skill based challenges for each playable character in the game. Objectives in the mode include things such as performing a specific special attack or pulling off combos under different circumstances. It really sounds a lot like a training mode, which is fine by me...

Capcom has also revealed the new Marvel vs Capcom 3 license cards for players of the game. The cards (visible in the screenshots below), display a ton of information about each online player in the game including their win-loss record, style of play, and preferred characters. We should probably prepare to see a ton of these in forum signatures around the net...
