More On: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
The final piece of DLC for Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 is on it's way and Treyarch plans to go out with a bang with "Apocalypse".

The DLC pack features four new multiplayer maps and "Origins", a new Zombies experience where players a thrust back in World War I era France and meet up with the heroes from the very first Zombies map. Oh and robots, 1000 foot high gigantic robots. Treyarch has also partnered with Avenged Sevenfold who contributed the song "Shepherd of Fire" to the Zombies experience and Alex Ross, famed comics illustrator and painter who has created original art for Origins as well.

As for the new maps, two of the new maps included in the pack may seem familiar to Call Of Duty veterans as the pack includes new takes on Stadium and Courtyard.
  • Pod: A failed utopian community from the 70’s has left stacks of dilapidated residential pods nestled into an abandoned cliff side in Taiwan.
  • Frost: Fresh snow meets explosive gunpowder in this snow-capped European city, where the bridge over a frozen canal separates it into two sides, requiring players to employ multi-level traversal strategies to outsmart and ultimately outshoot their enemies.
  • Takeoff:  Fans of “Stadium” from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC will find themselves at home on “Takeoff.” Marooned in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, this remote launch site is all about close-quarters combat, combining tight corners with open spaces for intense encounters.
  • Dig: An adaptation of the fan-favorite “Courtyard” from Call of Duty: World at War, where two archeological dig sites in Afghanistan become the perfect playground for combatants eager for hectic, unceasing confrontations.
Apocalypse will release on Xbox first on August 27th for 1200 Microsoft Points or free if you bought the seasons pass. PC and PS3 players should get the DLC about a month later.
