My appointment with Panasonic at CES went something like this: The Panasonic technology trainer shows me a new product or technology for 2007, to which I simply stand there slackjawed, saying only "wow", then the scenario repeats. The big guns: 50", 58", 65" and 108" 1080p HD Plasma screens with a native resolution of 1920 by 1080. The new form factor on these bad boys is a glossy black plastic that puts a really sharp finish on the new products. In addition, the engineers at Panasonic have been working on some new technologies, like a 42" 1080p Plasma prototype or new HD screens that use LIFI lamps that reach full brightness in only a few seconds and have a lifespan of upto 100,000 hours.

One other interesting technology to note is High Definition Home Networking. This technology makes use of existing electrical wiring to provide High Definition Power Line Communication (HD-PLC) through the existing outlets in your home, allowing up to 190Mbps high speed ethernet with just boxes plugged into the power outlets.
