Bungie signs 10 year,multi-platform deal with Activision, apparently unaware of all that Infinity Ward stuff

More On:
In the first Holy Crap! deal of the year the folks at Activision have announced they have signed a deal year deal with Bungie to distribute their games worldwide.  It looks like the days of Bungie being an Xbox 360 exclusive developer are also over as Bungie is going to be developing their next blockbuster game as a multi-platform release.  Halo fanboys can relax as that IP is still owned by Microsoft and you don't have to worry about ever seeing Master Chief on the  Playstation 3.

From what I'm seeing on twitter and other sources (thanks Ben Kuchera) it looks like Bungie will retain ownership of their IP's with Activision only serving as a publisher (which sounds like the deal Valve has with EA).

The big question now is what will the first game be and when will it be coming out?  You have to think that Bungie already has something in the hopper be it an update to the Marathon series or something else.  Hopefully we'll find out at E3 as you would think that would be the perfect time to take the wraps off their next game.
