Borderlands 2 is improving in 3 very specific ways

Gearbox and 2K games have recently announced a slew of new features coming to a copy of Borderlands 2 near you, including a new vault hunter, a level cap increase, and a brand new advanced "True Vault Hunter" mode.

Lets start with Krieg, the all-new playable character.  He is a Psycho Bandit.  That's his class, and yes, he's just like the psycho bandits you've been fighting in Borderlands 2 for months.  He's a melee-focused class whose action skill is called Buzz Axe Rampage.  One of his skill trees is all about setting enemies - and himself - on fire.  That should tell you a lot about what Krieg the Psycho Bandit is all about.

The Psycho Pack will be out in May and will run you $9.99 (800 Microsoft points).

The next new feature is an increase to the level cap.  It's going from 50 to 61.  No doubt that will add hours on to you completionists' Borderlands 2 time.  Along with the level cap increase, there's also the new Ultimate Vault Hunter mode which is the True Vault Hunter mode's answer to playthrough 2.5.  The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack is out on April 2 as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass.

All that sounds awesome, but this may sound less so: only the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack will be part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass.  The Psycho Pack is still 10 bucks/800MSP whether you've purchased the Season Pass or not.  Boo.
