Besthesda Softworks revealed earlier today their E3 trailer for the upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order, developed by MachineGames. Set in an alternate reality in the 1960's, the trailer shows glimpses of what has happened after the Allied Powers lose to the Nazi regime in the Second World War. The result appears to include numerous mechs and robot canines, a mid-20th-century America now enslaved and a maniacally laughing woman. We do, however, get our first glimpse at some gameplay in the final third of the trailer which mostly shows mech combat and firing massive weaponry.
Currently under development at MachineGames, Wolfenstein: The New Order is an action-adventure shooter that reignites the franchise widely recognized for pioneering the genre. Wolfenstein: The New Order is scheduled for release in Q4 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next generation consoles.
Wolfenstein: The New Order has not yet been rated by the ESRB. For more information visit www.wolfenstein.com.
