Battlestations: The Future

More On: Carrier Command: Gaea Mission
That's how I think of Carrier Command: Gaea Missions.  It looks like a futuristic entry in the Battlestations series of WWII-era RTS/action hybrids.  Battlestations was remarkable because it let you control every kind of warship deployed in the Pacific, along with aircraft, Carrier Command: Gaea Missions lets you control tanks, ships, airplanes, and what look like soldiers on the ground.  In my book, that makes Carrier Command: Gaea Missions 4x as cool as hell.

Carrier Command: Gaea Missions comes out on September 28th.  For more details, follow the jump, or visit it on the 'net, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

New trailer defines the Fundamentals of Warfare
in Carrier Command: Gaea Mission

Briefing – Just eight days away from launch, Bohemia Interactive has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Windows PC & Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft video game, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. The new 'Fundamentals of Warfare' trailer highlights the core mechanics to showcase the refreshing gameplay contained within the game.

Based on the groundbreaking classic from 1988, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission offers a blend of first- and third-person vehicular combat with tactical and strategic elements. Set in a massive game environment - consisting of 33 unique islands hosting 6 distinct climatic zones - players are put in command of a futuristic military carrier holding multiple remotely controllable and customizable units. By traversing the seas and establishing a strategic network of island bases for mining, production and defense, players will set out to destroy their adversary's carrier and conquer the archipelago on the planetoid Taurus.

The game features the Gaea Mission campaign, in which you follow a rich storyline involving Lieutenant Myrik, a member of a special United Earth Coalition taskforce that seeks to defeat the Asian Pacific Alliance. Alternatively, people can go head on with a mode similar to the original Carrier Command. This mode, named Strategy Game, enables players to set starting parameters such as enemy strength and available resources, which determine the difficulty and length of a game.

Bohemia Interactive's Carrier Command: Gaea Mission will be in stores for both Windows PC & Xbox 360 on September 28, 2012 in Europe by Mastertronic Group Ltd. and October 2, 2012 in North America by Rising Star Games Inc.
