ACTIVISION AND THE MILITARY CHANNEL INK DEAL THAT PROVIDES
CALL OF DUTYÂ® GAMES WITH AUTHENTIC WAR CONTENT
Santa Monica, CA â€“ Sept. 23,
2005 â€“ In a move that
will add even greater authenticity to the best-selling Call of
Duty brand, Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that it has
signed a deal with the Military Channel to produce a series of historical
vignettes that will be featured in the companyâ€™s upcoming World War II-themed
games Call of DutyÂ® 2 and
Call of DutyÂ® 2: Big Red One. As a part of the agreement, the Military
Channel will also air a half-hour special on The Big Red One,
â€œWe are pleased to partner with the Military Channel for our Call of Duty brand,â€ said Dusty Welch, Activisionâ€™s Vice President of Global Brand Management. â€œThey are providing us with compelling World War II video content that will take players back in time and draw them even further into the epic and cinematic Call of Duty experience.â€

Call of Duty 2 is scheduled for release this fall for WindowsÂ® PC and the Xbox 360â„¢ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft; Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is also slated for release this fall for the PlayStationÂ®2 computer entertainment system, the XboxÂ® video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo GameCubeâ„¢. Both games are currently rated â€œTâ€ for â€œTeenâ€ by the ESRB.
