AVerMedia announces the Game Capture HD II

AVerMedia's Game Capture HD is an interesting device that lets you capture gameplay video without the need for a computer. Well, they are at it again with a new an improved product to capture your gaming sessions.

The Game Capture HD II is their new stand alone video capture box that's geared towards gamers. The Game Capture HD II takes both component and HDMI inputs and can record video at up to 1080P at 60 frames per second. AVerMedia says it's compatible with the Xbox One, but no word on the PlayStation 4.

The front of the box features a nice record button to let you start and stop recordings. Voice commentary is supported so you can plug in a mic and talk while recording your video. You'll also be able to add a watermark to personalize the video. If you want to edit the video, just plug it into a TV and use the user interface to cut up videos and upload them as well, all without a computer.

AVerMedia also has made a companion application for iOS devices to let you manage the Game Capture HD II as well. Let's hope an Android version is released as well for those of us that don't own an Apple device.
