More On: Radeon HD 7970
In December, AMD released their current generation card in the AMD Radeon HD 7970. Well, today they are pushing the speed a bit on the card and lowering the price on the non-GHz edition.

The AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition goes toe to toe with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 680 and gives AMD folks a card that, performance wise, keeps up with NVIDIA's latest and greatest. As from the name, the card now sports a 1GHz engine, compared to 925MHz of the previous offering.  Other than the clock boost, not much else has changed.

You'll be able to pick up the card for $499, but those wanting the slightly less speedier edition can now grab the 7970 for $449.
