If gaming competition keep accelerating at this rate, the 2008 Olympics in Beijing will have gamers snatching up medals.  Until then, Atari and GameSpot are putting together a grand in prizes for their $1,000 Test Drive Unlimited Xbox 360 Tournament.  Forty-eight players will take part in a four-day online tournament, October 17-20.  The six fastest will compete in the finale, showing on Tournament TV (on GameSpot) for a cut of the $1,000 prize package.  Registration is open to all Total Access subscribers on GameSpot at http://www.gamespot.com/tournaments/tduoct06/index.php.  The finale will be broadcast live at 4:00pm PST on Oct. 20.
