343 Industries reveals Halo live-action series

343 Industries has teamed up with Steven Spielberg to produce a live-action Halo series that will air through the updated Xbox Live service. Halo: The Television Series (working title) will be distributed to “premium members” of the Xbox Live service. There were no specific details given on the project, but it was noted that this is a direct result of the Forward Unto Dawn video series that helped launch Halo 4.

I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed Forward Unto Dawn in its individual episode releases and in the full film (which is currently available on Netflix Instant Watch). It will be interesting to see what Spielberg and 343 can bring to the Halo universe with this project.
