24 Titles Available for PSP Launch

Posted by: Charlie at 2/3/2005 2:23 PM
In unprecedented news, SCEA announced that 24 titles will be available for purchase at the launch of the PSP. These include titles from a number of hard-hitters including: EA, Capcom, Eidos, Konami, Namco and Koei. Here are the games that you'll want to spend your cash on:
  • Ape Escape: On the Loose

  • ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails

  • Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower

  • Dynasty Warriors

  • FIFA 2005

  • Gretzky NHL

  • Lumines

  • Metal Gear Acid

  • MLB

  • MVP Baseball

  • NBA

  • NBA Street Showdown

  • Need for Speed Rivals

  • NFL Street 2 Unleashed

  • rengoku: Tower of Purgatory

  • Ridge Racer

  • Smartbomb

  • Spier-Man 2

  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour

  • tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix

  • Twisted Metal : Head On

  • Untold Legends

  • Wipeout Pure

  • World Tour Soccer
Wow, that's quite an impressive list. I think that SCEA must be applauded for launching the system right and giving the gamers plenty of options right from the start. Just look at the DS, it's stagnant right now because there are no games to play. Actually, it's kind of sad. The PSP will have more titles available at launch time than the DS has total, and the DS launched late last year. This has to be a huge blow to Nintendo.
