While playing Pixel Junk Eden at the Sony booth last week I realized that this was one of those perfect "girlfriend" games. I realize that`s a bit of a sexist term but "Non-Gaming Significant Other Game" is a bit of a mouthful. Pixel Junk Eden is one of those easy to pick up/hard to master games that are all the rage right now, call it casual if you want but I`m going to stick this in the same near art category that fl0w and Flower. The lack of real penalties in the game means that it`s something we`ll be able to play together without too much worry about one of us screwing up the other.

Rather than try to explain how to play the game I`m going to defer to my interview of SCEA Producer Matt Morton who does a better job of it than I ever could. I can say that the gameplay is a lot of fun and a little zen like as you hop around the world trying to collect pollen. I am glad that the game will be out soon as I`m looking foward to checking out some of the other levels in the game to see what other surprises the PixelJunk people have scattered through out the game.
