It looks like Sacred 2:Fallen Angel is no longer an Xbox 360/PC exclusive as Ascaron announced today that they will be bringing the game to the PlayStation 3 this fall. The PS3 version is getting enhanced graphics, Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, and drop-in co-op play both over PSN and split screen. Ascaron is claiming that the controls nad interface have been rebuilt from the ground up for the PS3 but we`ll have to see about that when the game is released this fall.

Despite the fact that Sacred 2 is a prequel set 2,000 years before the first Sacred, I'm noting that -- architecturally from these pics, at least -- things are looking pretty familiar from this game's first go-round. I wouldn't expect, y'know, things to advance from the Biblical Era to Modern Age (or vice versa) in fantasy-fiction, but I'm curious to see if *2,000 years ago* really means anything in the game's lore. Or if it's just their way of saying "Long, long ago."
