Team fortress 2 was the beginning of some of the best professionally created machinima or at least some of the most popular in a long while. NC Soft is continuing their own series of machinima goodness with Issue 12: The Midnight Squad based on their popular MMO City of Heroes. by the way I really like saying machinima. It sounds like something you would order at starbucks if you were feeling adventurous. One grande machinima please.

I'm all for people making "movies" out of video game graphics, however we really have to do something with that name. I really hate the word "machinema". I hate saying it, I hate spelling it and I hate the fact that we are part of a creative field (be it games, art, writing or whatever) and the best we can come up with is machinema. Uggh. Surely I can't be the only person that hates that name.

It is a buzz word so it lives and dies based on popularity.

Yup. But what I'm saying is that we/somebody/anybody should come up with a better word.
