The altogether average TimeShift released a free pack of multiplayer maps, available via Xbox LIVE as of May 7th. The five new maps, entitled "Futures-Past Multiplayer Map Pack," sport One-on-One, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch modes, naturally, but TimeShift "reveals the future of multiplayer fragging" with its exclusive King of Time and Meltdown Madness modes. More details back at the official TimShift site.

I love free stuff, but I hate how almost all of the free stuff comes out for games that nobody is talking about. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why they are doing it. They want people to start talking about this game again, but I'm not sure these maps (which I probably won't even download) is going to persuade me to play a first-person shooter that nobody cares about any more. The game wasn't bad (I recall giving it a fairly good score), but I would have much rather had free GTA IV, Call of Duty 4 or Rock Band content. But that's just me.

I think Sierra wishes the game had half the sales of any of the titles mentioned so they could charge for the DLC ;)

Looks like during the transition to letter grades it eneded up with a 'D' To be fair, the list of re-graded scores that I made a couple months ago has not been applied. I originally gave the game a 65%, which I re-graded to being a C+. That's not a great score (actually lower than I remember), but it's better than a D. Maybe one day my re-graded spreadsheet will be applied to GamingNexus' new scoring system. :)
