Nintendo must thinking everyone is going to be too busy to download anything on the virtual console this week, how else can you explain why we`re only getting Double Dragon on the Virtual Console this week. For 500 points you`ll get the Nintendo representation of the game that Microsoft already has released on Xbox Live arcade (and with Online Co-op). Check back on Friday for Cyril`s take on the game.

To be fair, the Nintendo Entertainment System version of Double Dragon is many people's preferred version, if only for the interesting multiplayer battles. That said, the XBLA version is a better recreation of the arcade game, but the NES game was a better console experience. Either way, the game just feels dated and not as good as other similar Virtual Console titles (mainly Streets of Rage 2).
Usually I'm disappointed when there's only one release, but with Grand Theft Auto IV this week I have a hunch I'm not going to have a lot of time to play many retro games. I wonder what Microsoft will feature as their XBLA game of the week.
