It looks like Phil Harrison has indeed landed at Atari as Eurogamer has discovered that the ex-Sony frontman is now serving as the president of the beleaguered company. It`s an interesting move as the PS3 is finally starting to turn the corner and Atari is continuing down a rather precipitous slope. It will be interesting to see if Mr. Harrison can pull the company out if it`s nose dive or not and we certainly wish him the best.

Based on what Phil said last week at the GDC and how his whole crusade these days seems to be about downloadable media, I wouldn't be surprised if Phil radically changes the way Atari makes money. I have a hunch that Atari's future will be full of smaller games that can be downloaded on the various platforms.
It'll be interesting to see if Phil can save Atari, it certainly looks like he's going to try. I have to assume that he will have a great deal of influence with the company and potentially take them in a new direction. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
By the way: What is a "Rumo"???
