Sony`s Gaming Division finally returned to being profitable for the first time in a year and a half on the strength of their Playstation brand, but it was the PS2 and PSP that were bolstering sales. Unfortunately, despite deep price cuts, Sony still lowered their 2008 yearly sales forecast for the Playstation 3 from 11 million to 9.5 million units and the fledgling console still was not profitable. On the bright side, Sony does expect it to start turning a profit in Fiscal year 2009 (Starting April 2008). Check out the entire Sony fiscal report here:
