PS3 gets DivX downloads, 360 will not

Sony is getting DRM`d download to own DivX content as announced by this press release from DivX. Now it doesn`t say PlayStation 3 in the PR but you can pretty much guess where this is going. The Xbox 360 cannot have this feature as it`s not a certified DivX machine unlike the PlayStation 3. Yes the Xbox 360 was first out of the gate with DivX playback but the PlayStation 3 will be the first console to be able to download content in DivX. I`m guessing Spider-Man 3 would be a prime title to be one of the first available DivX movies available once they are available.
