Today I headed out to three stores. First up, Best Buy had a massive amount of people waiting for a checkout counter. Interestingly enough, there weren`t many people standing in the return line. I braved the store to check out what Wii products they had. A few days before the 25th, I saw about four Wii remotes and a few third party accessories. Today it was pretty much cleaned out. The PlayStation 3 was also missing from the local store.

Over at Gamestop, I decided to pick up the $10 Donkey Kong Jungle Beat deal that includes the game and two sets of bongos. There were a few Wii remotes at this store though but not Nunchuks. Sitting behind the glass was a PlayStation 3. I couldn`t see what version it was though. Did see a few folks buying Wii games and 360 games. No one I saw picked up any PS3 stuff.

Finally, Target had a few classic controllers a few days ago but like Best Buy their stock in peripherals was pretty bare today. One interesting event took place while I was standing in front of the Wii display. A mother and daughter were standing in front of it as well while the daughter talked about how fun it was. I heard the mother say that it looked really great and fun to play. That`s something you never hear for the other two next-gen current gen system. No PlayStation 3 consoles were available at the Target I went to.

So the day after Christmas, Wii products were pretty sparse and the PlayStation 3 console was available at one of the three stores. Time to go back to bowling on the Nintendo system....
