It`s not totally gone yet but news isn`t good for Sony`s UMD format as detailed on this Yahoo page. Now I`m probably one of the very few in the US that loves the minidisc format but even I could see the UMD format was going to bomb. If they didn`t keep it so closed up and offered recording capabilities it might`ve had a small chance. In any case, could this be a sign of what Blu-ray is going to be like?
