In a recent post announcing the exclusive Tomb Raider: Underworld downloadable content for the Xbox 360, I speculated as to whether other versions of the game would get platform specific DLC. Unfortunately, MTV Multiplayer has an answer that many players won`t be pleased with.
The DLC for the Xbox 360 isn`t going to be released on another platform at a later date. Eidos also has no plans to issue DLC for the PS3 or the PC. It would seem to me that if you have multiple platforms, the Wii with special interactions tailored to the Wiimote or the Xbox 360 version with the two extra chapters seems the logical choice.
I don`t know about the opinions of our readership, but I`m less than pleased with this arrangement between Microsoft and Eidos. It`s not that I object to that specific pairing, just favoritism of one platform over another in general. I hope that this isn`t a new trend in the industry although Microsoft has already set the precedent with GTAIV. How do you weigh in on the issue?

I don't think "favoritism" has anything to do with it. It is more likely a situation where either Eidos or MS approached the other about getting exclusive DLC. f Eidos was the initiator, they very well could have gone to both Microsoft and Sony and held a bidding war. if Microsoft went to Eidos, it would almost be like a company ordering and paying a price for an exclusive product made specifically for them. In either case, Eidos undoubtedly will be getting a tidy sum (or a percentage of sales) to cover the expenses. I really am not sure why you aren't fond of this, as It could just as easily have never been developed at all if Eidos and MS wouldn't have agreed to work out a contract to make it happen.
