Sanyo recently announced that newest arrival to their stable of Home Theater projectors, the PLV-Z3000. The PLV-Z3000 will replace the PLV-Z2000, which we reviewed back in August. The Z3000 will improve upon its predecessor by incorporating 120Hz refresh technology, 5:5 pulldown and 65,000:1 contrast. Based on our experience with the previous model, this should only enhance the quality of movies, TV or gaming on the Z3000. Expect the PLV-Z3000 to become available in December 2008 at a MSRP of $3,295. I should have a chance to take a look at this in January at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show.
