The storyline is amazing. Brothers in Arms puts you in the life of the real soldiers. Let me tell you, you get caught into it. It becomes a vivid part of your own imagination. You imagine being in Sgt. Baker’s position during World War II. You imagine the horror these soldiers went through just to make it home alive. Since I got this game, and began playing through it, I have thought of nothing but to keep playing it. The game tells the gruesome story of World War II, and tells how heroes rose to the occasion to stop a defiant nation from taking over the world.

“The 101st Airborne Division, activated at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana, has no history, but it has a rendezvous with destiny.”

You will meet that destiny in Brothers in Arms. You will tackle the greatest war the entire world has ever seen. The game features a good amount of weapons from World War II, and a realistic portrayal of them. On the allied side most of the weapons from World War II look to be available to you. You’ll come equipped with the standard M1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol. There is a wide array of rifles, from the M1 Carbine, the M1 Garand, to the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle or BAR. There is also the M1903 Bolt-Action Rifle, which is your basic sniper rifle during World War II. On top of that, bazooka’s, the M1A1 machine gun, grenades, and the M1919A4 Browning Light Machine Gun are available. Not to mention the Nazi weapons available to you after you kill your enemy. Brothers in Arms gives you the ability to snatch the weapons up off the ground from your fallen comrades or fallen foes.

Anyone who loves a realistic shooter game will love this one. Brothers in Arms is simply the greatest military game ever released to the public. For the kids who have always believed war is purely glorious, and that it’s simply about you being glorified, then I suggest playing this game. Brothers in Arms will teach you that war is anything but glorious, it is about doing what you have to do to get back home to your family, and it is about doing what you have to do to keep your brothers in the war with you alive. If you never knew what World War II was like, Brothers in Arms will give you a history lesson on the true effects of the war.

I’ll leave you with a piece of history in honor of our brave soldiers on D-Day.

“Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine….”

A
Simply the greatest, and most true to life combat game ever made. Not for the run and gunners, but for the military buffs. An awesome game!
