Split/Second Power Plant trailer

More On: Split/Second
If you have yet to play the demo for Split/Second on Xbox Live, I suggest you do so. It’s very short, and includes a quick race around what looks to be an airport under construction against CPU racers.

The intensity of a constantly shifting and threatening environment is on par with what the videos have shown us. I didn’t necessarily like how cut and dry the commands were, however. It seemed to take away from the fun of being vindictive when power plays are dictated by on screen queues. Nevertheless, racing around explosions is still exciting, and – in true testament to its name – the winning of the race all comes down to the very last few seconds. Meaning, of course, that you can still make a comeback even after an epic crash through a bridge.

Check out the new Power Plant trailer below.

Split/Second is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and will be available in North America on May 18th, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Winner of the prestigious Game Critics Award as Best Racing Game of E3, Split/Second has a SRP of $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and $49.99 for Windows PC.
