Rift “Planar War” closed beta kicks off tomorrow and we’ve got keys!

Trion Worlds is ready to launch the next phase of beta testing for their upcoming MMORPG Rift. There are only going to be a few beta sessions held between now and the game’s launch next month. The next beta test will kick off tomorrow at 10 AM PST and will run through 10 AM PST on Monday, February 7, 2011.
Trion is also holding some special promotions with this weekend’s beta test. Players who successfully seal any rift in the game-world become eligible to win an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 video card which will be randomly given away. There will also be 10 in-game prize packs awarded to players who complete specified objectives. The full details as well as rules and eligibility can be found here.
There are two ways to get in on the beta event: preorder at the game’s official website or simply show GamingNexus a little love on Twitter. If you aren't already doing so, follow our site on Twitter (@GamingNexus) and send us a shoutout on Twitter with the hash-tag of #Rift at the end. It’s as simple as that.
I will be checking for responses throughout the day and will send out VIP beta keys accordingly. The great thing about these beta keys is that they aren’t just good for this weekend’s beta, but for all of the remaining betas that will be run up until launch at the beginning of March. Trion Worlds is planning at least one more during the weekend of February 15, 2011.
Once you receive a beta key from us, simply follow these instructions:
1. Go to https://account.RIFTgame.com to login or create a new account.
2. Click "Apply Code" on the left-hand navigation bar and enter your VIP key.
3. You're done! You will automatically be invited into the remaining beta events.
Note: If you apply a code during a beta event, you’ll receive an invite shortly. Don’t panic!

Over the course of the four-day event, players logged 2.4 million hours in game, more than double the amount of time played in the previous event.
