PlayStation 2.80 firmware confirmed, not much there

The PlayStation Blog has word on the impending arrival of the v2.80 firmware update. Not much is said about the update other than there's some playback quality improvements in some formats.  Yeah, not much but hey an update is an update I guess. I don't mind these small updates as that's how I update software at my clients myself since it's easier to roll back small changes but I'd like to see some more substantial improvements or new features added soon.
