Kyle Katarn gets Steamy

No I haven't been trawling through suggestive Star Wars fanfics, just browsing the Lucasarts Twitter, which announced that the entire Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series is coming to Steam. I've been a huge fan of Kyle Katarn's stormtrooper-killing adventures since I played Dark Forces back in 1995 on my dad's cutting edge 1GHz processor, 1GB harddrive, 32MB RAM desktop.

Jedi Knight was an amazing sequel too, even if John wasn't too impressed with it when he reviewed it all those years ago as one of Gaming Nexus's first PC reviews. I still own all of the games on disc and reinstall them occasionally, but having them all consolidated and bugfixed in Steam will be wonderful. We even get the Mysteries of the Sith expansion pack. It will also be great to play Jedi Knight multiplayer again, the old servers have been dead for over a decade.

I just hope they upgrade Dark Forces to be more compatible with non-DOS OS's, it's a pain to get running in DOSbox and every other early 90s game like Doom and Duke 3D have fan-made source ports.
