James Cameron's Avatar: The Game developer diary #4

More On: James Cameron's Avatar: The Game
Let's talk about weapons. They are tools of violence, destruction, and deterrence. No other medium contains as many deadly or ridiculous weapons as video games. One of the most popular Nintendo owned franchises of all time uses animals infused with the elemental forces of nature to duel. That's crazy! The latest developer diary for James Cameron's Avatar: The Game talks about the weaponry of the game and, unfortunately, doesn't reveal any new crazy weapons for gamers to get their virtual hands on. Rest assured that the weaponry will provide lots of on screen explosions and death animations of cannon fodder soldiers. None of the weapons presented are particular memorable or impressive. Though, I was distracted by the "pew, pew" noises made by the game's developers.

James Cameron's Avatar: The Game is the official video game based on the highly anticipated film James Cameron's Avatar.  The video game will take you deep into the heart of Pandora, an alien planet that is beyond imagination.  Gamers will encounter the Na'vi, Pandora's indigenous people and discover other life forms the likes of which have never been seen in the world of video games before.  When conflict erupts between the RDA Corporation, a space-faring consortium in search of valuable resources, and the Na'vi, gamers will find themselves thrust into a fight for the heart of a planet and the fate of a civilization.

James Cameron's Avatar: The Game will be released this tomorrow on PS3, X360, PC, Wii, DS/DSi, and PSP in North America.
