More On: Red Faction: Armageddon
The sequel to the surprise hit, Red Faction Guerrilla, has a release date now. Red Faction: Armageddon will hit the stores on May 31, 2011.

Armageddon takes place 50 years after Guerrilla as you take on the role of Darius Mason, grandson of Guerrilla's Alec Mason. Armageddon is moving you into more close quarters combat, a change from the open world setup of the previous game, but it will still feature highly destructible environments.

I've only seen Armageddon in videos and missed any demos at events, but it still looks like a ton of fun to play. I mean, who doesn't want to just blast things apart. Of course, you can use the Nano-Forge to put things back together if you like.

With the change environment for Armageddon, I wonder if it will get the same positive reaction since people loved the openness of the previous game.
