Firemint aims to land planes on the PSN

More On: Flight Control HD
Firemint is looking to bring their smash-hit iPhone / iPad game, Flight Control HD, to the PlayStation Network. The title is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2010 in Europe and Asia alongside the release of the PlayStation Move. Coincidence? I think not.

The PSN version of the game will support the PlayStation Move peripheral. While the peripheral is supported, it is not required to play the game. The game can be played using the standard PlayStation 3 controller. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, it involves the player directing various types of planes to their specified runway(s) on a given map. It sounds easy enough, but as time goes on, the flights come in faster and faster and you screen can get extremely cluttered. It is up to you, as the flight controller, to keep things flowing in an organized manner so that none of the planes crash into one another.

Though it has not been announced, a North American release of the title is expected around the same date.
