Bigfoot Networks Reveals Online Gaming Secrets for Success at PAX Prime

Company Joins With Pro Gamers, Sharing Tips for Crushing the Competition

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - August 25, 2010) - As gaming enthusiasts prepare to converge in Seattle during Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) September 3-5, Bigfoot Networks is offering advice from professional gamers and competitive guilds on how players can crush the opposition and "pwn" their friends in popular titles including Battlefield Bad Company™ 2, Call of Duty® 4, Trackmania®, Team Fortress® 2 and QUAKE LIVE™.

"Whether gamers are playing against friends in the BYOC area or competing in tournaments, a little preparation can make the difference between winning and losing," said Michael Howse, CEO at Bigfoot Networks. "Get in plenty of practice time and ensure your equipment is tuned for maximum performance."

A selection of tips from Team Frag'd, Fnatic, n!Faculty and Team Dignitas gaming teams is below. For a full list, please visit http://www.bigfootnetworks.com/killer/tipsandtricks/index.html.

Battlefield Bad Company™ 2
"When playing the assault class you need to be quick and lethal. I recommend enabling the light pack to run faster than your opponents. Assault also gives you the choice between a grenade launcher and C4. I recommend C4 as it works well for speed and for running up to objects." - "Blazen22", Team Frag'd

Call of Duty® 4
"One of the best, and most under-used, aspects of Call of Duty 4 is the ability to shoot through objects such as walls. If an enemy takes cover, try shooting through the object covering them especially if it is wood or brick. Also remember certain objects, such as cars, explode!" - "KyoChi", Fnatic

Trackmania®
"One of the most important things to be good on Tech-Maps in Trackmania is the powerslide. Powersliding means drifting with your car to get faster through the curves. In order to begin such a slide, you need enough speed and the right position of your car. You have to push the 'throttle-button' and the 'brake-button' at the same time. Train hard and you'll see that you will get better and better." - Ivo "h0mie" Degenhardt, n!Faculty

Team Fortress® 2
"In team games, always think of how you can assist your team-mates and don't be afraid to call for help. Try to avoid 1v1 situations and instead aim to outnumber your opponents in any given situation to gain an upper hand. Communication is key to victory." - "Bybben", Team Dignitas

QUAKE LIVE™
"Whilst running to armour and health, always shoot towards (and around) the items, as the chances are high that your opponent will be hit trying to pick them up. These are called prediction shots." - "Link1n", Fnatic
