Alan Wake to pick up the Signal on 7/27/10

The first batch of DLC episodic content for Microsoft’s Alan Wake will be released on July 27, 2010. The additional chapter had been announced by Microsoft previously, but now has a solid release date. Gamers who purchased Alan Wake new from the store should have a voucher included in their package that will allow them to access the DLC at no additional charge.

Gamers who did not purchase their copy of the game new will be able to access the DLC episode on the marketplace for 1200 Microsoft Points. The Signal itself is a stand alone episode and follows a narrative / tale separate from that of the game; this will not be a continuation of main storyline included in the retail game. The episode will relate to the actual game, but serves more as a new storyline to progress the series onto season 2.
